Cross-cutting best practices for new product development (NPD) in turbulent environments: the effects of integration and co-creation

Purpose – Continuous understanding of the best practices associated with new product development is a constant research opportunity to advance knowledge in the field, as far as changes in the business environment and the increasing turbulence level in different market segments create and reposition the importance of practices over time. Design/methodology/approach – Based on a systematic review, the study aimed to analyze the 100 most relevant articles published in international journals on new product development (NDP), identifying new patterns on the best practices for new product development and the types of relationship involved in NPD. Findings – Among the several practices observed in the literature, the analysis point to a larger group of studies that converge on the identification of a positive and significant relationship in integration – simultaneously – between supplier, company, customers and strategic alliances and the performance of NPD. Research limitations/implications – These results support integration as a cross-cutting and structural best practice for NPD, as long as it is constituted as a capacity, mainly applied in highly turbulent environments. This approach supported the proposition of a new framework. Practical implications – Organizations will be able to implement the proposed framework to NPD strategy in order to prioritize resources in best practices, aiming to increase the performance of new product development. Social implications – The adoption of integration and co-creation practices for the development of new products expands the possibilities of economic and social development, based on the involvement of the actors in this network. Originality/value – This model had not yet been proposed in the literature, filling a gap in the agenda for future studies

The function of information and its management technologies in decision-making processes has undergone constant evolution over time, aligned with the strategic goals of organizations, leading the company to its objectives, united efforts, internal and external measures for its fulfillment. This study aims to identify the contribution of business intelligence in the distribution of information in a strategic way, in decision-making processes within companies. The methodology is presented as a qualitative exploratory research using bibliographic procedures, using a multiple case study strategy, with data collection processes through semi-structured interviews with employees of medium and large companies. size of the state of Rio Grande do Sul, which adopt business intelligence solutions and software in their corporate activity and data analysis is done through content analysis. This article aims to collaborate in a discussion about systemic competitiveness. An argument about theoretical aspects related to the productive chains performance evaluation is elaborated. It is analysed from the understanding of the Agribusiness Integrated System (SIAN), which is concerned in ponder the agribusiness on a more systemic and interdisciplinary form. Initially, an argument about systemic competitiveness is analyzed, then a characterization of the meso-analytic space, through the SIAN model is depicted and finally, an argument about the theoretical aspects of evaluation of performance in productive chains is discussed.Key words: Evaluation of performance, mesoanalysis, agribusiness.O presente artigo tem como objetivo colaborar na atual discussão sobre competitividade sistêmica, realizando-se uma discussão sobre aspectos teóricos relacionados à avaliação de desempenho de cadeias produtivas. Innovation and intellectual property system: Proposal for a conceptual framework

Developing a resilient infrastructure, inclusive and sustainable industrialization and fostering innovation correspond to one of the Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations (SDG/UN), notably the ninth. However, meeting this result, in the case of developing countries such as Brazil, seems complex, demanding a review of the organization of industrial and innovation systems. Based on that, this study analyzes the panorama of Science, Technology and Innovation in Brazil (ST&I), through indicators. Then, a conceptual framework is presented with suggestions for planning and organizing an innovation and intellectual property system. The analysis of the country\u27s indicators revealed some important challenges in the area of ST&I, such as the need to improve the financing process and better adhesion of national companies to the system of protection of their intellectual property. Additionally, the framework presented a series of suggestive actions for the system\u27s actors, based on 05 main functions: Regulatory, Coordination, Protection of Intellectual Property, Promotion and Production and Operationalization of Knowledge

Mental health and workers in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic: an international literature Survey

In March 2020, the World Health Organization (WHO) declared that Covid-19 reached a pandemic level. In this regard, quarantine measures were applied by governmental organizations. Such measures had a negative impact on the mental health of the whole population, and thus, of the workers. This study aims to survey the international literature on aspects of mental health in workers in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic, available in the Scopus database. The methodology used is classified as exploratory, descriptive, and quantitative with a bibliometric approach. After searching and applying inclusion and exclusion criteria, a total of 217 documents were retrieved. For analysis, 7 thematic axes were organized, pointing out the main findings of each topic. As results, it was found that there is an important academic production on mental health aspects of health professionals, and less investigations with workers from other contexts. Still, it was identified that Brazilian researchers have played an important role in the production of this knowledge. It is concluded that the entire scientific community is engaged, especially in the health field, to conduct investigations addressing aspects of mental health and workers in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic

ESPIRITUALIDADE NO ENSINO SUPERIOR: O QUE AS PUBLICAÇÕES INTERNACIONAIS NOS REVELAM?

Estudos sobre espiritualidade no âmbito acadêmico tem despertado cada vez mais atenção por parte dos pesquisadores. Frente à pertinência da temática nestes ambientes, esta pesquisa tem como objetivo apresentar o panorama de pesquisas sobre espiritualidade particularmente no ensino superior. Para atingir o objetivo proposto utilizou-se de uma bibliometria a partir das etapas propostas por Donthu et al. (2021). A busca e a extração dos estudos foram realizadas nas bases Web of Science (WoS) e na Scopus, que após verificação de aderência ao tema proposto resultou na seleção de 319 estudos. Para a organização e análise dos dados foram utilizados o Software Excel®, Software R (pacote Bibliometrix), e o Software VOSviewer 1.16.18. Como principais resultados apresenta-se a evolução temporal das publicações, países que mais publicaram, autores mais citados, autores mais produtivos ao longo do tempo, co-citação de autores, periódicos mais relevantes/produtivos, afiliações mais relevantes/produtivas, nuvem de palavras, co-ocorrência de palavras, evolução das temáticas (1988-2022), e direcionamentos para pesquisas futuras
